VAS strengthens leadership team with appointment of Head of IT & Business Systems

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lewis Birdsworth as Head of IT & Business Systems, reinforcing our commitment to long term investment in technology, resilience, and scalable growth.

The appointment marks a key milestone as VAS focuses on building secure, future ready infrastructure to support the delivery of its five-year strategic plan.

Lewis joins VAS with an extensive background in IT leadership, specialising in frameworks, security, and business systems transformation. His career has been defined by optimising operational resilience and aligning business systems with commercial growth objectives. 

His experience in implementing and managing ISO 27001-aligned Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) is notable. VAS complies with ISMS standards and is working towards ISO-27001 accreditation. 

In his new role, Lewis will take ownership of the IT function, ensuring that the company’s technology stack is not only secure and reliable but also built to scale. His remit includes overseeing vendor relationships, driving business technology decisions, and leading the group’s evolving data and MI capabilities.
